Will This Fix My Problem?

Honest answer: here's exactly what this service fixes — and what it doesn't.

Fixes:

  • Original Porsche BCM has failed and you sourced a used donor
  • Used/replacement BCM installed and the car will not start or accept keys
  • Water-damaged or electrically failed BCM that still reads on the bench
  • Want to keep your existing keys instead of programming all-new ones
  • Donor module is locked to the car it came from

Won't fix:

  • Original module too damaged to read (no data to clone — we check first and tell you before charging further)
  • Donor with a different part number / incompatible hardware variant
  • Mechanical ignition or steering-lock faults
  • Programming a brand-new key (that is our Porsche key programming service)

Frequently Asked

Still have a question? Text us — replies in minutes.

What is the difference between cloning and key programming?
Cloning copies your original module's identity onto a donor, so your existing keys keep working — it is the fix when the BCM itself failed. Key programming adds a new key to a module that is already working. If your BCM is fine and you just need a key, order the Porsche key programming service instead.
Do I have to send a donor module?
Yes. Cloning needs both units: your original (to read the identity from) and the donor (to write it onto). Match the part number as closely as you can — text us photos of both case labels first and we will confirm the pair before you ship.
What if my original module is too damaged to read?
We check that first. If the original cannot be read there is nothing to clone, and we tell you before doing further work — we will not charge you for a clone we cannot perform. In that case the path is usually key programming on the donor instead.
Will my existing keys still work?
Yes, that is the point of cloning. Because the donor takes on your original module's identity and immobilizer data, the keys already matched to your car keep working. No re-keying, no dealer visit.
Do you handle the older Cayenne with Kessy?
Yes. The 2003-2010 Cayenne and related cars use a Kessy module instead of a BCM. Same process and same $150 flat price — just ship the Kessy pair instead of the BCM pair.
Do I get both modules back?
Yes. Both your original and the cloned donor come back to you, tracked, via the return speed you picked at checkout. Keep the original as a backup — it still holds your data.
