Why is Volvo key programming done at the CEM?
On P2 and P3 Volvos the immobilizer brain and stored key data live in the Central Electronic Module, so adding a key or recovering all-keys-lost is a CEM-level job.
Can you do all-keys-lost with no working key?
Yes. We read the immobilizer data directly from the CEM on the bench and program a fresh key. On P3 cars we usually want the ECM too for the sync.
My CEM is dead — can you clone it?
If the original memory is readable we clone the full dataset (VIN, mileage, key count, config) onto a donor you supply, plug-and-play.
How fast is turnaround?
