Interfaces + setup + remote support

Turn Your Laptop Into an OEM Programming Station

Get the interface, setup support, and access to Auto Module Lab remote programming technicians in one package. Buy the interface once and use us whenever a supported job comes through the door.

  • Automotive repair shops
  • Locksmiths
  • Diagnostic technicians
  • Used car dealers
  • Mobile mechanics
  • Collision shops
  • Module repair shops
  • Independent specialists

Pick the coverage your shop actually sees

Every kit ships with the interface set up, drivers installed and the connection verified — so the first job you send us is not also your first time configuring it.

Every kit connects before your first job — arrives configured, and we stay with you until the connection verifies.

Programming sessions are refunded if the supported procedure cannot be completed.

Prices in USD. Vehicle, module and OEM-software compatibility varies. OEM subscriptions, security credentials and manufacturer fees may be required and are not included unless expressly stated. Confirm compatibility with Auto Module Lab before beginning a programming procedure.

Why a shop ends up wanting both

The two interfaces do not overlap the way the spec sheets suggest. One covers domestic work including Ford FEPS; the other reaches the modern European and Asian platforms over DoIP and D-PDU.

Not sure which one you need?

Tell us the vehicles you work on most and we'll say which interface fits — or whether you want both.

No dealership programming equipment investment

You supply the working parts; we supply the programming. No factory scan tool per make, no subscription stack to maintain.

  • The vehicle
  • A Windows laptop
  • A stable internet connection
  • An approved J2534 interface
  • Battery support or a programming power supply where applicable

Keep the vehicle in your shop

Stop sending programming jobs to the dealer. Connect the vehicle at your shop and let our technicians handle supported programming remotely — the car stays on your lift, the labour stays on your ticket.

Pay per programming job

Hardware and setup are one purchase. Programming work is billed per job, when you have one. There is no subscription and no retainer.

Already set up? Hardware on its own

If you run J2534 interfaces already and configure your own tooling, you can buy the device without the setup package. You get the hardware and nothing else — no driver help, no connection verification, no readiness check.

The configured kits add setup, driver installation, a verified connection and a remote-programming readiness check for $50 over the bare device. Not sure what a J2534 actually does? The plain-language guide explains it.

Buy once. Program with us anytime.

Kit FAQ

Is OEM software included?
No. OEM subscriptions and licenses are separate unless they are explicitly included in a specific programming service.
Is remote programming included with the interface?
No. The kit includes the hardware plus setup and onboarding. Programming jobs are billed separately, per job — there is no subscription.
What computer do I need?
A compatible Windows computer with reliable internet and a free USB port.
Does the RLink X3 work with Ford?
Yes. It is positioned specifically for Ford, GM and Chrysler workflows and supports Ford FEPS where applicable.
Does the standard RLink J2534 support Ford FEPS?
No. TOPDON specifically states the standard RLink J2534 does not support FEPS programming. We recommend the RLink X3 when a job requires FEPS.
Why would I buy both?
The X3 gives strong domestic coverage including Ford FEPS, while the standard RLink J2534 adds broader OEM support plus DoIP and D-PDU. The Complete Shop Kit covers both at less than buying the two kits separately.
Can Auto Module Lab program every vehicle remotely?
No. Coverage depends on the vehicle, module, OEM software, subscriptions, security authorization, hardware and the required procedure. Contact us before the job when you are unsure.
Do I need a battery maintainer?
For module flashing and programming, stable vehicle voltage is critical. We recommend an appropriate programming power supply or battery maintainer.
