Will This Fix My Problem?
Honest answer: here's exactly what this service fixes — and what it doesn't.
Fixes:
- ✓A locked Global A ECM blocks read/write for tuning software
- ✓You cannot clone a locked ECM to a donor without unlocking it first
- ✓You need calibration access after replacing or swapping the ECM
- ✓Your tuner told you the ECM must be unlocked before they can work
- ✓A restoration or repair project needs access to a locked controller
- ✓You want read/write access restored without a dealer visit
Won't fix:
- ✗Does not unlock Global B (2019+) ECMs
- ✗Does not tune the vehicle — it restores access, not a calibration
- ✗Does not repair a physically damaged or water-damaged ECM
- ✗Does not guarantee every controller without VIN + ECM label verification
- ✗Does not remove or modify emissions equipment
- ✗Does not fix mechanical engine, transmission, or wiring faults
- ✗Does not reset / virginize the module (that is a separate service)
- ✗Does not clone data to a donor (that is a separate clone service)
Access unlock only — please read before ordering
This service removes the read/write lock on a GM Global A ECM so calibration access is restored. It is offered for legitimate use only — tuning, cloning, repair, restoration, or module replacement where legally permitted. It is not a tune and not a physical repair. The customer is responsible for ensuring any subsequent tuning or modification complies with local, state, and federal emissions law, and for compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal law. Software unlock does not repair mechanical or physical damage. A technician verifies your controller by VIN and ECM label before you ship.
Shipping Instructions
These details are also emailed to you the moment your payment clears.
